Size no match for success

A LESMURDIE child care centre took out the 2018 Telstra WA small and succeeding business award last week.

The annual awards celebrate the most innovative and entrepreneurial businesses across four categories, emerging and energised, small and succeeding, medium and making waves, and social change maker.

Pachamama Early Education and Childcare director Kristen McPhail accepted the award with co-founder Andrew White.

“We believe Pachamama is a unique example of what contemporary early education and childcare can look like,” Mrs McPhail said.

“When 25 per cent of Australian children are overweight, 15 per cent suffer from a mental disorder and 30 per cent of children’s waking time is spent in front of a screen we believe that nature must be a fundamental part of every child’s life.
